Why I build
I’m a corporate software engineer by trade. My career has been spent building accounting and financial systems that people and businesses depend on, while creating video games always felt out of reach. AI helped me connect the architecture, testing, iteration, and systems thinking I already knew with a medium I had always wanted to explore.
The journey became personal when my six-year-old son started learning computer skills because he wanted to play FrontLine RTS with Daddy. Watching him learn to control units, build a base, and understand a game I was creating became one of the most rewarding parts of this work.
GonzoArcade grows from that feeling: games I want to build for my kids, shaped through constant learning, and shared with anyone who wants to play. Whether this remains a hobbyist expedition or becomes something larger, every hour devoted to these worlds has been worth it.
